I have one foot in industry, one in academia, and my head, heart, and gut into helping the students and businesses I work with succeed in a rapidly changing environment. After 27 years in marketing, strategy, and VC leadership roles at UPS, I completed my Ph.D. and joined the University of Tennessee Supply Chain Institute where I teach strategy and technology courses and do research on ESG, emerging tech, and the disruption in last-mile logistics (fulfillment, delivery, returns). I love advising innovative startups and have a driving passion to help established companies create an environment that improves people, profit, and planet. My 2022 book Organizational Velocity uncovers the hidden sources of friction holding companies back and distills insights from leading organizations thriving in disruption. Beyond the book, I empower business leaders through both keynote and leadership group presentations, seminars, and consulting engagements.
