Local SEO differs from generic SEO because of local intent.
Most websites provide common SEO strategies that don’t help with local ranking.
The main reason is that it’s hard to find relevant links in your location.
When local blogs link to your content it provides a lot more weight than links from authoritative websites because customers are in a specific location.
Consider the following check-list:
– Search for local keywords by using Google Keyword Planner or add a location to relevant keywords
– Register Google My Business and add maximum as possible information to help your customers
– Add NAP Citations. Use Moz or similar services.
– Create local content and links.
